US markets continued rising; Dollar mixed
FXstreet.com (Córdoba) – Wall Street rose on Tuesday for the eight session in a row. The Dow Jones ended near intra-day high at 8916, 0.77% above yesterday’s close. Stocks futures continued rising after the closing well climbing to a six-month high. Second quarter results fueled markets. The Dollar ended near the same levels it had at the beginning of the session. Greenback rose at first but then, when markets started to recover, lost most of the gains.
EUR/USD reached a six-week high at 1.4275 and then fell sharply to 1.4160. Current price at 1.4215/20 is only a few pips below the opening price of the day.
Greenback weakened today against the Yen. The pair failed to follow the rise in stocks prices making the Dollar weaker. USD/JPY fell more than 50 pips and fell to levels above 94.00.
