Forex: EUR/USD breaks 1.3960 on Trichet comments

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - EUR/USD is approaching to 1.4000 level on Trichet's comments after breaking 1.3960 resistance and jumping 50 pips in the last minutes to post 1.3995 as fresh intra-day high. Currently the pair is trading around 1.3985/95, posting 0.30% daily gains from opening price.

Jean Claude Trichet, ECB's president, has affirmed that Eurozone will resume growth in the second quarter of 2010 in his today's speech. Triched also said that Eurozone GDP's decline will slow in the second half of 2009.
