The Reserve Bank of Australia kept interest rates steady at 3.00% for the fifth consecutive month to remain at the lowest level in half a century. Mr. Stevens the reserve bank governor said that the Australian economy is performing better than forecasts and the unemployment inclined but not as it was projected; while business investment remains cohesive which was unexpected.
