Euro Zone consumer prices continue to decline inline with ECB expectations!
The recession in the euro zone continues to impact the consumers' purchasing power, which pushes producers to lower prices, triggering deflation risks. Today, we saw that the yearly consumer price index plummeted, marking the lowest in ten years. The consumer price index (CPI) for the month of July came in at -0.7%, worse than both the prior and projected readings of 0.2% and -0.6%, respectively.
